Asymmetrical Balance Assignment

1. Center of Interest. In each composition, look for a dominant area or center of interest.

2. Asymmetrical Balance. Balance each composition asymmetrically so that the center of interest is NOT in the middle and the opposite side is not empty. Asymmetrical balance is a “felt” balance where one side has an equal weight or importance to the other.

3. Non Eye-Level Compositions. Some of the photographs should be taken from a “worm’s-eye” perspective and some from a “bird’s-eye” perspective. Turn in at least one of each of the two different perspectives. Looking slightly up or down doesn't count. Make your point of view more dramatic.
